Can you identify this revolver?

Okay gun experts... Can you tell me what kind of gun this is? My friends dad passed away & he found it when he was going through his things. I've never seen one like this before.

Old 32 caliber, my grandma had one. Not sure who made them. Maybe US Revolver Company or S&W?

Thanks! Is it worth anything? He's not a gun guy so I told him that I would buy it &/or sell it. I just don't know if I should offer him $100 for it or $500 or $50...

If it is what it looks like, it's a very common revolver and not worth much of anything considering the condition based on what I saw online. Maybe someone who knows a hell of a lot more than I do can verify.

I really don't think it's worth anything from the looks of it, but I could be wrong.

At some point, 1930's? a popular laundry soap company was giving a revolver similar to this away in every box. It was part of a plan to arm the population against the threat of the times. Whatever the hell that may have been. I suck at history. I searched but couldn't find a link. I only know because we have one somewhere and my grandmother told me the story. :headscratch:

Its in really bad shape. I've seen ones online in fair shape going for $75 - $100.

It is in bad shape, to say the least. It looked like the firing pin was missing too. I think that I'll just give him $100 for it & throw it in the safe next to my other revolvers. Thanks again fellas! Cheers
