Being married to a personal trainer and awesome cook has its advantages. 3 years ago I had bloodwork done and it showed high cholesterol, tripling my life insurance premium. Doc wanted to put me on Lipitor, I said let me try a diet first. It worked. I went from nearly 200 to 80 in a year. I decided to start educating myself about getting healthy and learned a ton. I was pushing 200 lbs. before I started this journey, smoking cigars and drinking beer every day, along with a shitty diet. I now eat like my life depends on it, and have changed my mindset about food. I'm more interested in what food does for me rather than reacting to cravings. I dropped 25 lbs. at first but have since put on 10 lbs. of muscle. I do still enjoy the sugary stuff, but i don't crave it nearly as much as i used to. It's rather amazing how much better everything is when you are in decent shape.
If I can do it, anyone can. Keep up the good work guys.
