Folks, I have seen this bike first hand and it is pristine. Don't hesitate to pull the trigger on this one if you're in the market for one.

Getting real tired of the "I'll pay you $5000.00" or how about $7000.00. Craigslist offers. WTF. No way I am selling for less than what is posted.. Am I out of touch?

It's the CL way. I always price everything accordingly (+20% or so) so dude can get a really good deal by "getting me" to "accept a lot less" than he wanted to pay. He feels much better. I sold it generally getting exactly what I wanted.

Yeah but for motor vehicles it is pretty easy to know when items are inflated. 20% would be a ridiculously high starting point.

Bring me the bike. Drop it off. I'll get Mexico to pay for it. Doesn't matter I'm too short to even ride one of these. I promise that Mexico will pay you and I'll use it to keep the riff-raff out of my neighborhood.

Although a moot point now, the one thing I will ALWAYS stick to my guns about is price haggling on a significant sale item. I'll ASK if they are flexible on price if I'm buying (given that it IS Craigslist), but that's it. And I won't negotiate price sight unseen. I'll tell them I'm flexible if selling (I price expecting it), but I plain won't discuss it at all until they see whatever it is I'm selling. No "Will you take 1/4 the price and deliver it with a pretty mauve bow?" crap. If you want to talk me out of the extra $1000 I added to the price I want, you can damned well do it face to face.
