Just blocked the time off at work.  Hopefully, my plan comes together. 

In the Bloomsburg area, there are approximately 20 covered bridges that I've put into a gpx file.  I was supposed to be going out there next week with the wife and check them out, but the new PT job and her having the work visit rescheduled killed that.  We were out that way last fall and loved the area.  Great Bloomsburg brew pub located at Inn at Turkey Hill with excellent food too.

I was talking to my son Chris earlier today and mentioned this meet since it's about an hour from where he lives. He said he thought he'd prefer a dual sport ride vs paved twisties. I'm OK with that. While I would love to ride the SDGT to the meet, riding with my son is a bigger win. Is anyone else thinking about riding a brazillion of miles of dirt roads up that way? Given that Sunday is Mothers Day, both he and I would probably bail early Sunday AM to dash home and avoid the wrath of SWMBO.

BTW, Chris is about to become a Daddy. His wife is due Jan 21. It's a girl.

It seems a spot has just opened up! We will make room for you.

Smoker, we can free up our room. We have a thing Friday night, probably gonna run late. Liz has a gig on Sunday, so at best we can come up Saturday for the day ride and overnight, then head out at o-dark thirty Sunday. Mother in law got us tickets for a thing for Christmas that happens to be that Friday night.

There's an 85% chance we'll be up for Saturday. There's a good chance we'll come up late Friday and stay in Danville overnight.

That's my loose plan, but in any case, free up our sleep space for anyone who needs it.

At the very least, *I'LL* be there, for at least the day time Saturday and dinner/evening stuff. Liz may be a question. Her Sunday gigs are... problematic... for our weekend stuff for much of the year. (She sings in a professional choir for the rich folks in the whole DuPont circle).

Dang!  The store approved my three day weekend off for this.  Guess I gotta have the van ready for real truck camping.  I haz a new RV floor plan layout to completely buy, finish and install along with the rooftop racks, steel carrier and solar array too.

FWIW, Mrs. Smoker will be driving up in my truck, which will have a rooftop tent that we are willing to sleep in, and I can bring another small 2 person ground tent with a cot for additional space if we need it.
The rooms with bunks also have double beds, so those rooms can actually sleep 3-4 regular sized humans (not Skee sized). And there's 4 full sized couches if some of you don't mind that.

Out, I am opting for a trip west that week ( Arkansas) so I'll have to catch up with everyone at another date.

I'm good for sleeping quarters.  Three tents of various sizes and the van available for comfortable accommodations.  I could pack a spare tent also if needed.

I regret that I have to bow out - turns out something came up that weekend.  Hope to see some of you on the road in 2019!

Most unfortunately, I am out.  Cannot attend.

Blame it on Berks Jazz Fest.  We go every year, probably since it began.  It's in April this year, which forced us to move the trip I had planned for mid-April.  I'd been hoping to work around it somehow; I dn't know how.  You know what fell out.

I'll miss this one.

With the motorcycles currently in my garage, my knees couldn't handle the ride.

I'll be holding down a piece of the lawn and keeping the non-alcoholic beverages cold all day.  No riding for me, just relaxing and seeing new and old friends.  Need tent space or are there beds now available?

Sometimes it's better to spring the ride plans like 2 weeks out and say "don't puss out, ya wankahs!"

How much dirt/pavement do you want?
You can do as much or as little of each as you want.

Well this is one new to me, so far I've only ridden about 20 miles on her. Street Bias tires so I will be doing almost all pavement. or very nice forest roads.
