Myself and a handful of other (5 I think) are meeting up at the Sherwood Inn in Wellsboro PA the weekend of June 9-10. We've got a small block of rooms reserved. If you have no plans and need/want to get out for a weekend. Feel free to come on out. Call the hotel and mention the FJRiders group for a room ($92+ night)

Go see Kinzua. Both sides of the Grand Canyon of PA. Go hit the Antlers Inn on 6 between Gains and Galeton for lunch. John, the guy who runs the place, is from Philly. Get his Philly cheese steak sandwich. You will thank me. It's the best damn sandwich I've ever eaten. They have good beer and proper whiskey, too. It's a gem in that area. Wave to my uncle's places in Gaines, Galeton, Westfield, and when you ride by the old Manhattan Station (I forget what it's called now, but you'll know it by the train car), wave there, too. They own(ed) soooooo much stuff up there.

Thanks for the tips. We actually voted between Wellsboro and Maggie Valley for this years Eastern Owners Meet in September. It was neck and neck and at the end of the day, the organizer made the call for Maggie Valley. Maybe next year depending on how the weekend goes.

Missed the whole September thing, so yeah, you'll be in North-central PA in June. So yes, get thee to Antlers Inn and enjoy that cheese steak

I've done the philly cheese steak tour, and John's wins. Hands down.

Awesome! If you have an issue getting room just give me a buzz, I'm looking for a share (I'll be arriving on Friday evening, departing Monday morning). If I can subsidize one of the nights, great!

I haven't been out that way for a month, so I can't tell you what roads have been tarred and chipped recently, but if I knew what kind of roads and recreation you were looking for I could give you recommends.

About the same in Marlinton, with the exception of ~20 minutes of downpour way north east (up near Sugar Grove). Beyond that, 75-80 all weekend, cool and comfy evenings and mornings. Absolutely perfect to slap another 5-600 miles on the bikes, and clear the head.

Well just got back from my first weekend in Wellsboro (BMWRA Rally)

Needless to say I love the area. It's up there with White Mountains & Seneca Rocks!
