Yes, I plan to do Garry's route Friday depending on how sloppy the "roads" are. There's several bail out points along the route if it ends up being too muddy. The pace will most likely be sedate as my off pavement skills are lacking, but you are most welcome to join. Kickstands up at 8am at Yokums.

FORMAL INVITATION:

Saturday, September 22nd at 7:30pm, Campsite 37

All participants of this camping adventure extraordinaire are hereby invited to join the occupants of Site 37 for an evening of light snacks and appetizers followed by dinner, music, (from the outdoor speakers on the rig) and fellowship and camaraderie. Dinner will be a simple pasta affair consisting of:

Barilla penne pasta with Kim's home made pasta sauce.
Sauce contains tomato, onion, mushroom, carrots, peppers, garlic and misc spices.
Available separately to add to your sauce will be a couple lbs of browned, mildly spiced, ground deer meat.
We will be bringing probably 4 large loaves of Kim's home made bread. I plan to have the outdoor grill hot and foiled to drop buttered and garlic salted bread onto for redneck garlic bread if anyone wishes.
There will be plenty of parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, black pepper and garlic salt available.
Snacks of home made pickles, pesto and slaw along w/ chips, peanuts, and misc other bits will be out prior to dinner unless we eat them all Friday.

BUT WAIT - THERE'S MORE!!

Saturday, September 22nd at 7:30AM, Campsite 37

You're also cordially invited to breffas Saturday MORNING!!

This is a little less structured but we're bringing a crapton of eggs (from our chickens), cheese, ham, peppers, tomatoes, butter, bread etc so something is going to be served. I promised Smoker an omelet for leading the ride Friday but the rest of you monkeys will probably just get to pile onto a plate some combination of the above, probably scrambled eggs and sautéed ham and veggies you can toss some cheese on and throw on bread if you like. But hey, it's breakfast.

Coffee will be served and we'll have sugar and some organic half and half creamer available. Other than that, y'all are responsible for your own beverages.

My bike is already in WV, so I'll be driving down. I'm likely dragging my trailer along for other reasons; happy to shuttle anyone down who's got any concerns about the ride down and/or back, etc. Hollah if. I'm planning on leaving early Thursday AM at this point, but I'm pretty fluid for a departure anywhere from Wed PM to Friday early AM.

Perhaps you didn't pick up on the seriousness of the need for chocolate. It is very real.

You got a 4 slot extra large toaster? That wouldn't be unwelcome. Otherwise, Kim is going to a lot of time and effort so she will likely have everything sorted.

Thats still a better than 50% chance it wont rain. I'm sticking with that. 75 and sunny baby.

Bed of truck loaded and packed. Cab half packed. Just need to load and ice down the coolers in the morning then we are on the road. Figuring on a 5-6pm arrival.

Oh god. Tell me you grabbed a room at Fox’s and not Thompson’s. Thompson’s is mildew and mold capital of the world. Last I stayed there I was a solid week recovering.

I'm less than thrilled, bordering on pissed, that I have to bail. I've been on "all hands on deck" calls all week, and the one last night and early this AM screwed by expected departure time. I thought i'd finished up all the calls, and then I got called into an in-person meeting, and had to turn the car around a whopping 35 miles from home. There are tons of benefits working for such a small company, but holy sweet f*(k a day off sure would be nice.

Back in one piece. I had pretty steady rain until Cumberland. North of there it was dry.

Only pics I have are the ones indelibly etched in my mind, not sure if there are many available as the rides were fast (for me) and furious with little stops.
