Also, what day is the dirty ride happening? If we come down, I'm trucking the KLX with SM and dirty wheels. Just wondering which ones i should have on first.

My current plan is to ride down Thursday, do Garry's loop Friday, paved ride Saturday. If the weather is phenomenal I might add a day to both ends and try to get in as much of this https://advrider.com/index.php?threads/next-in-the-bdr-series-mabdr.1257324/ as possible.

We're going to aim for a Thursday arrival but we might be a bit late. Maps says it's an 11 hour haul from my place to Seneca Rocks. Plus we have no idea how long the border crossing will take. Sometimes it's 10 minutes and sometimes it's an hour.

That's disgusting.  You're getting an omelet made with fresh eggs from our chickens, tomato and/or peppers from the garden, and some yummy cheese OR an egg and cheese sammich on momma's home made bread.  Maybe a bacon, egg and cheese sammich if someone cooks and brings the bacon.  A LOT of bacon.

What is the dirt route, back roads, two track, single track? Will I need an ORV permit or is a plate good enough? Also I have a small tank, are there adequate chances for refueling? Not planning on holding anybody up. If I become a burden, I have no problem riding on my own.

it's not the river crossings that will get you, it's the deep potholes. 

So, first time coming to this meet. Should I plan to carry camping breakfast/dinner supplies, or are we likely to be walking/riding over to the restaurant for breakfast and/or dinner as a semi-group?

I'm not bringing anything except coffee (jetboil) and maybe some munchies. It'll be restaurants for me.

Ok, sounds like I shouldn't need to worry about dinner. I'll bring my jetboil and coffee fixings and my usual instant oatmeal as a backup. Perfect.

Unless something comes up, it looks like my brother is joining us with his ridiculously large and well outfitted trailer.

He rides a cruiser. Be nice to him. Recently ditched his Harley Ultra and went back to a smaller bike.

This is not the same brother some of you have met before.

I/Liz-and-I will be staying over in Sugar Grove and will ride over to hang, join in group rides, etc.

I heard from Jeets that the camping event was on again this year... I haven't been on the site for a long time. Still checking the work schedule and weather.. (not for the ride, for the school I work at now). I do need a blast south before we get into the heating season..  I'll have to call the campground and see if hammocks are allowed with special tree protecting straps and if there is a site that will accommodate.

If I come.. the cannon will be coming along..

The Gateway Restaurant is 8 miles south of Seneca Rocks. A personal favorite with good side dishes and pie.

Even if it doesn't, that location is a couple of mountain ranges into WV.  Shouldn't take too much of a beating that far inland.  We'll probably go down regardless unless there's catastrophic damage between me and Seneca Rocks, which is unlikely.

The hurricane is looking to slow up and take a slightly more southern route, I believe the likelihood of you getting heavy rain in WV this weekend has weakened.
