It actually is. I’ve had a couple of wives and more than a few girlfriends. Anytime I’m in a relationship that looks promising, I make it clear I’m a motorcyclist and that will never change. Better to establish the parameters of a relationship early.

Good advice, talk and clarify before getting engaged. My wife rides and she even has more scoots than I do. I think I should go bike shopping.

I am fortunate that I met Dan because of motorcycles, but I twice now he has given me a scare when he mentioned giving up riding. Usually these comments are short-lived, but it is amazing how much it scares me when he says it. I mean, sure, we have a great time together off the bikes as well, but as you guys know, motorcycling can't be replaced. Plus, it is a great way to explore the continent

I think it comes down to passion. If one person in a relationship is passionate about something the other needs to be as well, otherwise they don't understand each other. My wife's passion is horses, barrel racing to be exact, and mine is motorcycles. The fact that each of us is passionate about something means we understand each other. Sure, she like to ride with me occasionally but the best part is she understands perfectly when I say I'm going dirt biking for the day.

After a 25+ year marriage went bust (not because of motorcycles; we met because of bikes) at this point in my life I think I'd just as soon get a dog.

33 years with Mrs. Wedge, and she has ridden dirt bikes in WV, ridden pillion with me, even did a 3 day trip. She says its just 'not her thing'. She honestly tried it, and I am certainly not going to force it. She understands how I love it, and as long as she isn't asking me to stop, I'm okay with it. It's not for everyone but it's for me.

Today, my wife started a new job at the local Honda/KTM dealership. Tomorrow is our anniversary.

I would like to see it the first time she pulls up on her Ninja.
