Bring My Wallet   

Yeeehaaawww.  Me and Sue are planning on being there.  Sure, put us to work!!!  Grilling or whatever.  The camping on the dock offer is what concreted the deal for my wife.  Barring a shitty rain storm we are planning on leaving Thursday after work and camping in Delaware off of the ferry and heading to you by Friday afternoon.  Looking forward to meeting you Eric.  Thanks for the weekend away.  This also gives me a shake down attempt to posting on a imgur account that I have to open for my future ride reports.

Just a quick update, we have 3 bunks 1 bunk, 2 day beds, 1 queen size and 1 air mattress all gone!, the rest have been spoken for. There's an ice maker in the saloon so if you need any please don't bring any. There was mild interest in the patches/stickers so I didn't follow through on that idea.

Regarding food? My original plan was the usual burger/dogs & accoutrements. I'm open for suggestions if folks would like to march in a different direction? Brats, mac & cheese, potato salad, open for discussion if anyone has any ideas? There will be a full kitchen at your disposal should you wish to prepare your own grub.

If you would prefer to hotel it, there's only two options.

I'll be riding a Yam FZ-10. The VFRs are iconic and many have them on this site I believe. A couple of the folks last year went to Moto GP in Austin last year. I was in Austin the same weekend for other reasons and didn't get to see the event. If you go, please take some pics and share!

Weather and road conditions have no guarantees in early April here at home, but the average weather at your place looked pretty good to me.

If things go according to plan, since I'm trucking the moto down, I'll bring a mountain bike, and get some rides in.

I haven't spent much time planning this trip yet.  Accommodations wise, I'm not picky, and may even sleep in my truck, now that Smoker has dibs on the top bunk.

I have one air mattress left and no one has claimed it or the reloading room so you would have privacy. To answer your question, there's two motels very close by, both within 2 miles of home. Only one is somewhat decent. I should mention that air mattress is a  double so a decent size.

There's a Best Western, Quality Inn and Holiday Inn in Thornburg which is about 18 miles away if you would prefer. These hotels were primarily built to service the new NASCAR track Old Dominion Speedway, they are brand new except the Qulaity Inn is old, old, old. Idk if they renovated it recently?

So were you being facetious about a flat spot for my trailer and room to get it in there without damaging anything?  If not, we can probably make this happen.  I see a massive puppy play date in the works in the middle of all this motorcycle stuff.  This will likely become Hemi's first camping trip as well.

There should be no problems accommodating your motorhome and trailer. I don't know if I have enough extension cord to get power to your rig though. Pups are more than welcome. 

Just the truck and trailer.  I'm about 51 feet long combined.  I can probably do without power.  I have a whisper quiet Honda 2000 I could run in the back of the pick up if necessary...or if allowed.
