I've done all the young and stupid things in my life so no armature night for me. It's going to snow tonight so I'm going to make a pizza for supper. I have some beer and a good bottle of wine, a nice comfy chair in a warm house. The remote has fresh battery's in it and I'll probably will asleep before midnight. Then I'll get up tomarrow morning with out a hangover, have a cup of coffee and make breakfast.

So who's going to get stupid and who's not?

Let's see. Jeanne is coming over after work. I'm making Red Beans and Rice with Andouille sausage I got from Sprouts. I'll be showing her some guitar stuff as she has asked about learning. Perhaps a quick card game. She brought some Rum and we have Egg Nog so I'm going to try that.

Tomorrow a friend's hosting a gaming day so we'll head down to Denver for a day of gaming then out to dinner after before heading home.

I am running in the Resolution Run 5K tonight at 6:30 as part of First Night State College.

Then it's back home for a steak dinner and some bourbon, the aforementioned fireworks, and a TBD bedtime (may let Seacrest or Daly woo me into staying up until midnight).

Pretty much nothing planned. I'll probably just hang in my recording studio working on guitar parts with a couple Celebration Ales to keep me company. I'll be in bed before midnight. Up early tomorrow, just because I always get up early.

Having my nerdy friends over for gaming. Not planning on getting shitty, but if people do (or the snow comes in fast and furious), we'll happily let people bunk out.

Beef stew cooking in the slow cooker right now. It will be dinner in a few hours. Then maybe a couple of Sam Adams and some Johnny Football tonight. Probably going to miss the whole midnight celebration thing because, well because I don't care. Yeah, that's it. I don't care.

The wife is sleeping - she has a 5:00 AM start time at work tomorrow. I'm sitting on the couch contemplating Knob Creek, Johnny Walker Ghost, Centenario Anejo and Dewar's 12 year old. Eenie, meenie, minie moe...looks like Anejo is the way to go...

It's old guy New Year with the dog huddled up next to me freaking out from the fireworks.

we're all sick. so we were gonna get into bed after many meds and catch up on some shut eye. Which turned out as a No-go. my youngest came in the room numerous times throughout the night to get Mommy. sooo, I got roughly, i think, 3 hours of sleep, and the wife, probably much less. so New Year's this year can go F itself. It sucked. I'm hacking up lots of green or multi-colored stuff. tired as heck. coughing til my ribs hurt. The only alcohol i MIGHT have gotten was Nyquil, but since we were prescribed some drugs yesterday, Nyquil was a no-go.

Ugh- that sucks. I feel your pain- last year I got a flu on my second day of break. I neglected to get a flu shot and spent 3 days of 100+ fever, and another 4 with chills and aches. Most of my break was spent sick on the couch. That sucked, but it made me appreciate a healthy holiday season this year! Good luck.
