Yeah.  As much as they say they won't change things they all seem to go down the tubes.  I only know of one (pirate4x4.com) that hasn't really gone downhill after being bought by a "for profit forum business".  The only reason that one hasn't is because the owner is still pretty much in charge.

I think forums are going the way of the dodo with all the various social networking sites but they still seems to be the best place for the open exchange of ideas and knowledge.

Wesson makes a kick butt Canola you should really try.

Make sure you use a food safe oil. Otherwise you may get some irritation of your (or your partner's) sensitive bits.

And threaded discussions you can actually follow. I just don't get into any real discussions on FB because they're rambling messes. Right up there with Reddit, IMO.

I just don't get Reddit.It's impossible to find or follow anything on that abortion of a page.  Glad I'm not the only one.

Thanks all for setting this up. It is too much like deja vu of the old Michigan Jeepers forum. Sold to a corp interest, absentee admins,  then no linking to another forum (we know they exist already) then no endorsing competitors products, then posts saying anything negative about an advertisers product gets removed, the ads increase, then either you get melded into another forum (the sport-touring section of xyz.com), or when its numbers drop it just goes away entirely and you get re-directed to xyz.com. All the while a half-interested admin tells you all is well, things will get better, we are fixing things, and the band continues to play.

whew...I feel better. /vent
