Gloves for runners

Are they anything special?  My wife is a runner and I'd like to get her a couple pair for Christmas.

When I lived in Oregon and ran in winter weather I liked the inexpensive polypro-type glove liners .  Anything heavier and the hands get clammy, which just isn't nice.  I tried silk, but they didn't wick the moisture away as well.

Anything that is light and synthetic like mentioned above.  I use something similar when I run in cold temps.  The warmth needed depends on your location and temps.

The Smartwool brand might be nice since it's a gift.

Best to use Araldite whilst she is asleep.

Cover her hands in resin glue and put large amounts of cats' hair on the surface before she wakes.

I have a pair of very lite Under Armour gloves that I wear when the temps are mid-20s and above. I have a heavier pair from Nike I wear for when its low 20s and below.

Both were "running gloves" that I bought at a sports/running store. They have extra reflective bits on them to help improve your visibility if you're running when it's dark. I think they were each somewhere between $20 and $30.

I'm trying to "streak" the month of December (run at least 2 miles every day). It's currently 11 degrees here in Ohio. I might be wearing both pairs of gloves today  :eek:

I've come to like the Champion C9 line. I think the one thing lacking in running gloves is a reflective middle finger for those drivers that just won't get the fuck over.
