Triple D... I assumed it was a "medicinal" trip for some of CO's herb.
www.COtrip.orgis your reference to road status / construction.
I don't know of any road issues on the roads you mentioned. I've not been up Coal Creek or Boulder Canyon in a few years though. I was up at RMNP last night for the meteor shower and took Fall River up and Trail Ridge down (both to the east / estes side) and each was in great condition (1 or 2 year old asphalt on TRR from Alpine visitor center to Estes - likely on the western side as well)
I-70 had widening (add one lane, now three lanes) of the twin tunnels at Idaho Springs but that is complete enough to have each tunnel open with 3 lanes / no slowdown.
`haven't been up Berthoud Pass recently - cotrip for info. 34 (Loveland to Estes) is free flowing. 36 (Lyons to Estes) should be free flowing but might have remnants of construction in a couple spots - nothing I'd be concerned with unless cotrip says otherwise. 7 is sweetness (the St. Vrain river still shows striped bare riverbed from the flood though vegetation is coming back).
Enjoy the trip! I'll be curious to recommendations for food stops...
