For those of you that plan rides to the Black Hills here is my excuse for giving you poor advice on the weather.. Rapid City named #1 for most unpredictable weather in the country.

Neat, thanks for the link.
I don't know about you, but if I lived in Rapid City I wouldn't bother watching The weather channel.

My ex is from Sturgis, born in Lead, so over 25 plus years I've visited the Hills often. I've learned about the unpredictability of the climate. Especially when on a bike. Flying buffalo at Custer State Park are a hazard.

When we rode it we had a shower every afternoon- that part was very predictable. And I still regret not grabbing brews with you when we were out there Black Hills...

No surprise, its something I accepted when I took my first trip out there years ago. Don't like the weather ? Wait a second , it will change.

It was, what, 70 and sunny when we left the campground and within about 45 minutes it was pouring rain and in the 40s? I would simply make it a given that there would be a backpack w/ a myriad of gear in it as my standard loadout for every ride. Too good to be scurred off by the weather though. I'd just have to toughen up ... maybe a LOT.
