Nah.  My Clarity is just fine.  The entire undercarriage of his Jetta has rusted out.  He can't drive over 45 mph without it shaking itself apart.  Estimates are $3500 to fix it all, so we decided to opt for a new car.  He's been all-moto since August when this issue arose and he ordered the Civic.  Manual transmission is now a special order.

Ironically, the reason it is rusted out is that the parts in his Mexican-made Jetta somehow came from Germany, where they don't get coated against salt.  Those parts were supposed to be made in Mexico, where they DO get coated for the salt. Again,

I have no clue if that's the case.

The Milwaukee forecast is for 1 to 3 inches of snow overnight.  But back in the 40s F by the close of the week.  So maybe I'll get a January ride.  But I think I'll have to be careful for ice in shady areas. And I'm not so sure about getting out before the salt gets washed away or worn off.

7+" here east of Pittsburgh. First time I had to use the snow shovel in anger this winter. Ready for spring.

It got to 78º last week.
This week it got to 28º.

The last of the snow piled by the plows has melted in my neighborhood, and there was a warm gentle rain all day to dissolve any remaining road salt.  I'm certain that the commercial parking lot piles still need to melt.  But the sump pump working implies that the frost is out of the ground around my house already.

Spring has sprung in Milwaukee!

97 today. I'm going out on a limb and say it won't snow today.
