Firefox instability

I like Firefox. It means that my eforts to connect to the interweeb are less likely to be monitored by Microsoft or Google.

However, I am getting a dark screen. Often.

I really don't want to use Chrome.

Any tips?

Your firefox instability is obviously due to a traumatic experience.

Just what have you been looking at that might have setoff your browser like this?

Firefox here and also no issues.

Try uninstalling all its plugins, uninstall Firefox, reboot, then run a registry cleaner, then reboot again before installing Firefox without any plugins.

Reboot again and try it for a while with Private Browsing and Do Not Track on (in the Firefox settings) as the only changes.

Try scanning for malware too. Malwarebytes is my choice.

Be rather cautious with any extension / plug-in. Try turning half of what's running, off, and see how stable it is. If bombs, toggle the plug-ins and test. If no bomb, turn on half of the plug-ins until you can figure out which is the bad apple (if any).

Stability returned for a day or two, then crash! I notrice there's a number of comments around on instability with Windows.

I'm looking at Opera.
