Well that was less than pleasant.
« on: July 01, 2014, 09:30:24 AM »
I just had a graft on my gums as well as a deep pocket repair.

I wasn't expecting the procedure to be so... violent.

I'm part of my comfy chair for a couple of days.

This blows goats.

I wouldn't suggest blowing anything for a bit. Might hurt the gums and socket, maybe even pull a stitch!

Hope you feel better Cookie!

I remember violent.  I apparently have roots like a 100 y/o tree.  Dude had to numb me 3 times during an extraction and he was sweating like he was chopping wood.  He had to go and get a different set of extractors that looked like large lineman's dykes.  It was not a good day.  You have my sympathies.

Yea, I had a 5 root molar. Took two folks and dykes to get it out. I still have a lump from the end of one of the bones.

I'm with you there. I was on hydrocodone when I crashed my motorcycle and withdrawal, even though I was only on it a bit over a week, was a bitch.

Took about 72 hours for me to look normal again as opposed to looking like someone hit me in the face. And I didn't have any roots left to pull out. Ibruprofen was enough for me.

Later this summer I get to have two new ones screwed into my jaw. Apparently the teeny tiny little torx wrenches are pretty cool.

I had all my dental nightmares as a child. Only one baby tooth fell out naturally while rest had to be pulled, some quite forcibly. Then, when I was 13 my bicuspids/eyeteeth had to go to make room for the rest of my grinders and cutters.

Don't worry, Cookie. I can say from personal experience that this suffering will soon pass, you'll grow up, meet a nice girl, marry her and 30 years later she'll ask you to leave the house but keep half of your shit.

You have so much to look forward to.

Light some incense, set the lava lamp to glow, maybe even turn on your black light with the posters glowing......

get the Dead on the turn table......

relax and enjoy the fact that you don't have to do anything for a day or 2.

There now, isn't that better.....

Glad I could help

L;

P.S. when I had mine removed, they, yes 2 of them, used hammers and chisels to break them out. Lovely.

I will start today! It's more the fear of my mouth exploding into a bloody mess at this point. The pain is not that bad and the swelling is going down. I even spent time with the VW last night. Some light sanding.
