Finally!
« on: June 30, 2014, 06:02:24 PM »
We just arrived in Santa Barbara. We left Vegas this morning at 0900 and 106* and got here with 72*... I'm in love!

On Wednesday the SO will take the FJ , trailer, and dogs and I will be on the Tiger heading up the PCH to Alameda (going around San Jose of course).Any recommendations of places to stop for lunch along the way up North?

We are not picky, just want to have something good!

Thanks,

Shannon

Dude, er, I mean Doc. You're gonna love riding in NorCal. At the end of 4 years you may have discovered perhaps only a small slice what the entire NW section of this country, including OR and WA, has to offer, and then you have to think about Spring desert rides in the SW.

If you want the local MC forum just google up barf.com (Bay Are Rider's Forum) and start from there.

I'm insanely jealous right now.

I grew up across the Bay in San Mateo and Foster City and got my first MC while still in high school. Learned to ride on the mountain roads of the Peninsula, then ventured further afield to Marin and Sonoma counties and the rest of th Bay Area.  There is just so much riding to be done.

Then, if you want to explore SF itself, a MC is just about the best tool for it. A very friendly place for a rider.

Yeah, I'm jealous.  :'(

Call me Mel. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me at home, I thought I would ride about a little and see the other parts of the world. It is a way I have of driving off the spleen and regulating the circulation.

Nope. Coast guard is every ten years so the 30 and 40. But I get almost 16min for 1.5 miles so I'm good.
