Abilene is certainly doable. Busy next weekend with the turkey festivities but maybe the following Saturday for lunch? If the weather holds.

Isn't Thanksgiving on the 28th? So you wanna do the 30th for lunch in Abilene?

Yessir. Weather in Tejas this time of year is a crap shoot and Amarillo and SA are NOT in the same weather zone. No worries. That place does sound awesome...I hope they have good pie, too.

Looks like you folks are getting a bit of wintry precipitation. NWS is calling for mixed rain/sleet beginning tomorrow evening here in SA. Looks like it'll be the usual SoTX run on bottled water and emergency supplies at HEB. LOL. Cracks me up every time. It's like people expect to go to bed in SoTX and wake up in Ultima Thule. Glad I'm off next week...Monday morning commute could be interesting.

Oddly enough they do the same damn thing up here.  ???

Light dusting so far. The heavy stuff is supposed to start tonight and continue thru tomorrow and Monday morning. 5"-7" projected. I'm glad I don't have any deliveries scheduled for Monday.

Of course, waking up to THIS particular Ultima Thule would be a good reason to have stocked up on emergency supplies.

Cold rain here. Just went to HEB to get some buttermilk to make pancakes for my loverly wife this morning. Declined to buy any bottled water or D-Cell batteries...pretty sure that civilization will pass through this potential sleet emergency intact.

I just cleared the drive in the 3 degree windchill.  Hot chocolate sounds pretty good right now.

Sleet around here is just an inconvenience. Like getting stuck behind slow moving Harley's on the dragon.

Place holder.

Good idea, the traffic volume in here is nearly overwhelming. I thought we were supposed to be laconic.

Doin' okay bud? Projected low of 3 here. We missed out on the really nasty stuff. It was south and east of us. Really fucked up my parts deliveries though since most of my parts come from Dallas and Lubbock.

Oh yeah. The worst of it that we got in San Antonio was the breathless speculation by all of the staff about not having to come into work because of the ice.

I was out in the far NE part of town early this morning and felt a couple of spits of frozen precip but that was the extent of the onslaught. It's supposed to clear up overnight and drop down into the mid-20's and then inch up into mid-30's for the high tomorrow. I was talking to one of our docs who has relatives in the Dallas who reported sitting in the dark huddled around the fireplace.

I hear you on the parts deliveries. I have some gear that was coming out of the Mesquite UPS facility that did not make it in today. It puts my schedule for the expanded Northeast office full opening back a day or so since I won't have any monitors for the new exam rooms and additional staff seats. Oh well.

Glad to hear you folks got off relatively unscathed this go around. It's shaping up to be an interesting winter.
