John Malkovich?

John Malkovich would make a terrible secret entrance.
He made a good one out of THE BUICK!
Feels like I've been here before, fuzzy then but still so obscure........

Its more determined by soil type and strata, water table, etc, etc.

If you have freeze worries, some type of sealing and draining is needed.

Personally, if I was doing a foundation, it would be block with mastic plus membrane water proofing and subsurface drainage. Interior would be  penetrant sealing and than drywall after insulation.

But I tend to build for a 100 year lifespan.

Ask a local code builder.

Check your local code before you decide.
ICF is an interesting choice.
Ride safe!

Superior walls is something I haven't seen before. It Strikes me as a a warmer way to do it. Basements always feel like they have a chill to them.  :headscratch:
You can't avoid aging, but you don't have to get old.

You have always struck me as the prepper type

And look at how quickly that wall caved.  Unacceptable.  The only thing I see wrong with that video is storing a gun in a cabinet unloaded.

And what's wrong with being a prepper?  Sure, I'm a kook now.  But one of these days, Alice...  I'll be able to extend my time between trips to the grocery store that will be the envy of EVERYbody in the holler.

I got a quote from the Superior Walls guy and it made things a little more complicated.  I expected him to price himself out of the running.  That is not the case.

We shall see.

Nothing wrong with being a prepper. I'm going out fast and taking others with me.
Its better to burn out than to fade away...
