Unplugged it from the battery tender to give it a rest. 

Then I pushed it around the garage to realign the flat spots on the tires. (I have steel belts )

Got my lift out of storage, and (re)mounted the Trackside chock on it. Loaded up the Honda for oil change & filter, HFT filter, topped off the final drive (also changed right before I got it, so I didn't drain it). checked the hydraulic fluid in all reservoirs, tossed some StaBil in the tank, put in a new battery, put the old one on the shelf for reserve. Found a few body-panel fasteners that are missing, so made a list to order online at some point.

Left the bike on the lift after cleaning up; the other half of the garage still needs some cleaning up, so this is the best way to maximize use of floor space for the moment.

Has your lift been reliable? I have the same one but when I went to use it last weekend it wouldn't pump up. I've probably had it for two years, used about ten-fifteen times.

Yeah, it's been fine. Also, check with Whippy on his; he got that from me almost 10 years back when I was first getting divorced. My ex broke a few things on it, and he fixed it up. I admit, I haven't kept up on how it's treating him. Liz got me this one a few years back and it's been used a handful of times, including having a Burgman 650 on it for like... oh... 8 months or something.

I really love that bike. I think they got it right(er) with that one.

Took it for a ride.  After I installed new SW Motech Micro bag.  This bag is smaller than my old SW Mini bag, which I loved, but they don’t appear to sell anymore.  The old one is faded and worn after 10+ years.  The new one is about the size of a clutch purse; barely holds my phone, eyeglass case, change bag, etc.  It could be a tad roomier, but it looks nice, fits well and does the job.  Gawd I love this Versys.

Bag in place clears the GPS and bars at full lock, and I can see the GPS and dash display over it.  So maybe it is just the right size.  Didn't even notice it was there while I was riding.

New tires for my ZRX and the wifes Bandit6 this year. Did both fronts last weekend and last evening.

I have NEVER struggled with a tire the way these front Pirelli Angel ST's were resisting me. Mounting wasn't terrible, kind of stiff, but setting the beads was MURDER. Deformation of the tire in the rim during mounting process wouldn't air seal, and I had to bounce it around and futz with it a LOT. Ended up requiring an estimated 80PSI to seat the beads once air seal was made.

Mine was just as bad, but worse... when I finally got the bead seated and tossed a gauge on it, the needle was totally pegged. Straight past all markings, and buried in the zero needle (but from the backside). bled air off for a good 45 seconds before it even began to register a drop, with more to go before getting anywhere NEAR the scale.

Seems to work though. when I took mine around for shakedown run. I have high hopes that changing hers will help with the nasty headshake that cropped up last year. Probably, since I think the prior skins were likely 10 years old (with a total of a few thousand miles on them).

I have a air chuck with the guts removed for seating beads. Always remove the valve core and blast it with line pressure. Lube is your friend but I use a paste designed for the job. When dry it becomes a little tacky to keep the tire from slipping unlike other stuff may. Clean the bead area of the rim with a wire brush to remove anything that will promote leaks and keep the bead from seating. I do this stuff to pay the bills and have mounted thousands of tires over the years. As a last resort there's always The Cheetah and a strap around the circumference.

I agree with the lube comment, I use the yamaha spray stuff, but anything is better than none.

I do prefer a silicone based lube for all personal use, petroleum based for most mechanical use and full synthetic for high end engine use.

And butter.
