Regarding the Dyna Beads, I'm a believer.  I've been using them for many years.

Last night I changed the spark plugs, coolant, air filter, oil, oil filter, and brake pads on my Tiger.

I rode it to Wyoming.

This is kind of a big deal because the last time I was in Wyoming a huge bird shat on me and almost made me crash. That was ten years ago and I have gone around Wyoming ever since.
But it was too cold and rainy to camp at Little Big Horn and I'm going to Crazy Horse tomorrow so Sheridan Wyoming it is.

Susan was just there this past Sunday on her way to Bozeman. However, she was riding a Prius.

Rode it to teach some future STOners, then came home and gave it the biannual washing.

Glad you're okay.

Replaced the right crankcase gasket. Used loads of silicone to try to prevent an oil leak. Tightened the bolts, only to discover that 3 female threads had already been stripped by the last person to remove the cover. Will it leak? I'll fill it with oil and find out. Probably.

Time to buy an insert kit. Should be able to repair threads without removing the cover-I hope.

Feckedity feckidity feck. No oil leaks. But bike won't start-just clicks when I press start. Drained new oil. Removed cover, checked wiring-all okay. Checked fuses-all okay. Checked battery-fine. Touched negative on batteryvery, very hot. So, must be mechanical. Remove cover, do up loosely, it starts. Tighten cover-it won't start.

Looks like the starter idler gear is jamming. Time to take the cover off again.  :bash:
