Kind of like this. No, the bike doesn't move while it's in use, so stopping isn't an issue.

Added acid to the new Yuasa AGM battery that got delivered yesterday, put it on the battery tender Jr. last night, should be ready for install today. 750ma over 20 hours should do the trick.

New battery installed. Funny thing, after the install, my auxiliary LEDs would not go on. They are not wired to the battery. They are wired into the "GPS' connector in the beak and into the factory canbus. I tested the other lights, and figured it must be the switch, so when I went to check it after I inspected the wiring they started working. Did my poking fix a bad connection? Did the canbus say "oops, my bad"? Something to ponder while I ride...

Ribs are really sore where I landed on my left arm. Left shoulder is sore but could have been worse. I landed part on someone's yard and part on the sidewalk. My shoulder and helmet hit the grass and probably saved breaks or dislocations. The left forearm scrape that notes the goose egg is where that arm bridged the gap between the 2. The left leg is also where I landed but with the lower-half of my body on the sidewalk so it got more rash with the 1-2 punch.

For now it's the ribs with the rash only speaking up when I bump it or cover it with a blanket (hot spots). The ribs yell out for many different reasons. I tripped when running from some fireworks on the last 4th and also bruised my ribs. Give it 2 weeks and I'll realize one day that it quit hurting but I don't remember exactly when.

An open/break in the canbus would set a DTC code.

Changed the oil, changed the shaft oil, detailed the paint and plastics, sanded and repainted the exhaust tips.

I used a product called 303 aerospace protectant on the plastics, man what a difference.

Rode the Road King hard enough to remove material from the footboards. you can lean these things WAAAAAYYYYYY OVER before that happens. And the tires stick well. Guy on a GSXR passed me shaking his head.

Also, obligatory PSA: don't crash; there's a higher than not chance you'll need EMS and a hospital bed. Not a cool time to be doing that.

The break in maintenance is done. The Ural took all of my attention last fall so I never got to it. So, installed the Mistrals, checked the valves, changed the oil and changed the gearbox oil.

All set for when (if) the shit is done hitting the fan.
