Has anybody got some miles on these yet? DennisKirk has them for $285 a set delivered, I'll be putting them on this week.

Bought a set of the GTs today. Got the ~~180/55~~ 190/55 for the rear. I'll let you know how they handle this.

Absolutely love them. Took a brand new set down to Georgia and it snowed all the way back. Didn't slip at all, barely wore, and were glorious on the Cherohala.

I have a set on my sprint with about 3k miles on them. I was speaking their praise to Frank and Beans at the national last month. They really woke up an already great handling bike. Cycle world has a review on them in this months issue on their long term ninja 1000. As soon as I read their quote " immediately. I noted a significant improvement in steering lightness and neutrality. " I couldn't agree more. I did 2500 miles on my trip to and from the nationals. Rode the Snake, the dragon, Cherohola skyway, The Rattler, 226A and numerous other fantastic roads on this trip. I never felt a loss of control or traction on any of these roads. I road the BRP for an hour in the rain and was passing cars with confidence. I was in a couple other rain storms (and no, Doug was not there) and they handled great. I've done avon storms, Pirelli angels, conti motions, and the original pilot road and these are by far ( on this bike) the best handling tire I have ever had. No Koolaid here, just Bells two hearted ale. I paid $308 shipped for mine. For $285, I will probably order another set.

I have a PR4 front on the way. I normally change both ends at the same time but the PR3's I'm running lasted so long, I got out of sequence. I have 17,384 miles on my PR3 front but it's in scary-bad shape now. The rear has 6000+ but still looks good.

I have 3's on mine but will be going for 4's next time out. The 3's are not exciting but are very planted.

From what I have heard, better off-road, not as good on wet pavement. I have run through a couple of sets of Tourances, which handle anything but mud pretty good, and do pretty well on wet pavement as well as dry. I am trying Anakee 3's now.

K60's are also known to wear like iron. There are stories out there of guys putting down 12-16k miles on a set. But yeah, I've heard the same about their wet performance.

I did use Anakee 2's on my GS and they sucked in the sand. TKC's worked best for me for nasty dirt.

Currently running Anakee 3's on the F800 and they are lovely tires.

I have the same thing coming up. I had PR2's, then put on a new PR3 on the rear when it wore out, now I think the front will be a PR4 since it is done for any serious miles after this trip to Ohio/WV.

I've had eight or nine sets of PR2s in a row. Their shape and stickiness and lifetime worked for me so I kept buying them as long as they were available.
I got new tires in Grand Rapids the day before the CatBcue and they had no PR2s. Sad Panda.
No full set of PR3s or PR4s either (My visit and tire preferences were not a surprise to them) so I got Metzeler Z8s. Before the PR1 I was a Metzeler guy, the Z2, Z4 and Z6 were the tits. The Z8 I don't like. It's a perfectly good tire and the PR2s I replaced with them had about 14K on them so fresh rubber is fresh rubber but they're 'greasier' and less 'U' shaped so I don't like them and will go back to Michelin when I've sufficiently melted these Metzelers.

They'll probably last forever like those perfectly good yet horrible Dunlop 020s. Dammit.

My experience with the Metzeler Z series is that they make perfectly good bikes handle like barges. Cool, if that's your thing. Not so cool if it isn't.

Just an update, I've got about 1800 miles on the PR4's now, and spent this past weekend in SW Wisconsin. They stick very well and were predictable all the way out to the edge of the tire. Dragged my knee pucks a few times and the tires were very confidence inspiring.

Agreed. Consolidating down to my Hypermotard has allowed me to simply buy Pilot Sports, which is so much easier than keeping up with the touring tires

I'm considering replacing my tires with Q3s or something else, but the Pilot Powers have been ridiculously sticky - albeit for a short distance.
