Hey, Vote for Us
« on: June 17, 2014, 10:04:34 PM »
I have no idea why, it's not like there's a prize other than bragging rights.  But, Sheri and I ask that you scroll down to our image and vote for us as image of the week.

(edit to add)  LOOK FOR THE ORANGE HACK NEAR THE BOTTOM.   ;D

Thank you.  That is all.

You all rock!  Thanks.

This was mine and Sheri's first road trip together on a bike.  Last night, a friend PM'd me on Facebook to let me know we were in this poll.  I was a bit buzzed and can't believe I started the thread.  But, I'm glad I did.  Sheri wants the poster now that we realize there's actually a prize.

Doesn't it take awhile to get anywhere on the Ural? I almost couldn't imagine going on a multistate or cross country trip on it. You'd have to budget so much time.
What do you mean I have to go back to work?

I can do about 200 miles per day on the Ural on twisty roads.  For straighter roads, I could handle more.  In comparison, for the same amount of effort, I can eat up 350 miles of twists on the RT.

This was our first long trip on the Ural and I'm really getting to know it more.  The Blue Ridge Parkway and its 45 MPH speed limit is perfect for the Ural.  That said, I can also easily do 55 MPH highways all day long on it.  I believe our top speed this past weekend was 67.
