I'm heading down to Blairsville, GA (theoretically, tomorrow) and I haven't planned my route yet. 

Right now, I'm going to get out of Chicago ASAP and head south immediately in hopes of warmer weather.  I was thinking of heading east around Louisville or so and starting to play on the secondary roads from there, maybe as far east as Pikeville, KY before meandering south to Blairsville.

How's the weather in the foothills right now?  It is snowy, raining, clear, cold warm?  Are the roads as potholed as ours?
