Attention Hooligans!
Local intelligence tells me that the CHP just got a grant to add more enforcement along Highway 33 north of Ojai. This enforcement will start Saturday, July 5th and includes only the weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Increased enforcement will be present each weekend until the end of September.
Now different sections of 33 are patrolled by different CHP field offices. From Pine Mountain Inn/Summit south is the jurisdiction of the Ventura field office; the north side is the responsibility of Bakersfield field office. Neither office likes to patrol 33 as it is the edge of their respective ranges.
