Do they make such a thing?  Just saw the eye doc yesterday.  I'm still 20/15 at any distance, but I can't read the date on a dime.  Or more importantly, a vernier scale consistently.

Looking for +1.00 if it's out there.  Any experienced reports appreciated.

My local Ace Hardware has them. Readers built into safety glasses, even sunglasses safety's the same. Not my requirement, but it was the first time I'd seen them.

I get mine from grainger. They have alot to choose from. I have a clear pair for inside and a smoked pair for when i wok outside.  Highly recommend having a pair.

For just regular readers, i get the 3 for $10 pack at meijer. I bought a couple packs and now have a pair in my jacket pocket, riding jacket, in my truck, in the bathroom, all over the place. I had tried many of the more expensive more stylish models but they all ended up breaking. I have yet to break one from the 3 for 10 pack.

I first got these for riding from the White Horse catalog. I eventually learned you can get them for about half the price from the place above or from shooting supply stores (these glasses are used a lot by shooters).

They're awesomely comfortable. Nice nose piece, adjustable sides (which, though really your application, make them perfect for wearing inside different helmets). I've worn them nonstop in 48 hour rallies. They should be very comfortable throughout a work shift.

When I was working, I bought regular glasses with unbreakable lenses. There are side shield that work with them. In my case, my employer  had them for glasses wearing employees. I worked in construction. They are OSHA approved.
