Selling a toy collection - ideas of "how to"

I have a vast collection of VW Beetle models that I would like to sell. They are currently packed (in newspaper) in five (six?) large Rubbermaid tubs and sitting in my parents' basement in Erie, PA.

First off, I do not want to deal with ebay and secondly, I don't want to ship them. I know that this is really limiting my options, but I really can't see that shipping is an option (cost, as well as repacking them securely)

So what would be the best route for finding a new home for them, and valuing them appropriately?
I'm going to post on TheSamba.com to see if I can find any interest, but I thought I'd ask around to see if there were any other ideas.

aside from selling on line, maybe try take them to a car show, or a swap meet.

Any chance that there are vintage toy sellers in the area?

How about Mike and Frank from Antique Archeology (American Pickers show)? They like VW stuff.

Do you have photos and/or itemized inventory? I know a local guy (rides a Triumph) that is into VWs. I can message him on FB to see if he's interested, but he would want some idea of what you have and rough cost.

Me. My mom's health is failing and my dad is spending all of his time taking care of her. The most I could ask of them would be to meet someone at the door to let them haul the boxes out...  :(

How much you looking to get? My daughter just bought a yellow beetle, and she's got a couple of gift occasions coming up (graduation and birthday...)

Oh, and I'm in Ohio and I have a brother that goes to Erie, PA fairly frequently.
