I too will be there Friday to Sunday...will be camping in bastrop this year.
I head to Bastrop tomarrow to set up camp (Gold Wing with Time Out camper )
I have GA tickets so will be on the move

Moto2 and Moto3 done. Time for the big show. Hoping the cloud cover holds and the rain waits another couple of hours. The lack of the 15 mph "breeze" from yesterday and Friday is nice.

Carefully crafted by beavers and sent through alternate dimensions.

Fewer people than last year. We did GA and sat back between turns 10 and 11a for the races. Food and drink prices were still "are you kidding me" priced. We brought our own water and snacks and eschewed purchasing anything from the track except for a beer each after the races were done on Sunday. We also parked off site for $10.00 per day and got shuttled  to right across from the entrance. Missed that hike in from Lot F...but not much.

The racing was as good as always.

Mike,  I got the itch to return to Austin after watching the races. We'll catch up at Indy.

While at the in-laws yesterday, after our youngest woke from his nap, I had to leave him for a bit to go to the head. 

Where did I find him? Watching the moto2 round!  He even mentioned that he wants to go next year.  Hmmmm.  Maybe I have a young racer in the works.

Great pic, Matt. While we were wandering around the track on Saturday I was talking to my buddy, Joe, about how Spain has such a great system for finding and grooming racing talent starting at an early age. You have to wonder just how much undiscovered talent languishes here in the US. I have to believe that the talent pool is huge.

I'm looking forward to catching up with you guys at Indy. We can speculate on how many races someone NOT named Marc Marquez will win this season. I'm going with 5. Seriously. Watching him seemingly effortlessly pull that gap on Pedrosa after he passed him for the lead was just mind boggling. And Jorge was rattled enough to blow the start trying to get a leap from the second row on the grid. That's my take on it at any rate. What was kinda sad was watching Jorge carve through the slalom cones to make it into 10th for the finish from 10 seconds behind the trail bike in the CRT pack after his ride through. The disparity is just ugly.

Actually, move to Malayasia where Alberto Puig is running the MotoGP new rider discovery program. He may be hated for his defense of Pedrosa in the Hayden Incident many years ago but he has an eye for talent and still has influence with Honda.

But only if you want your child to ride red.
