No Iron Butt love yet?

Do you have any plans for an upcoming IBA ride? If I attend the R4 STO BBQ this year I may turn it into an IBA ride of some sort.

I dashed 1050 in 17 hours on Sunday. Not sure why. Well, actually it was to go to a place Alton Brown reviewed, Jack's Cosmic Dogs in Charleston, South Carolina. I used Mick's Hillbilly Hydration System again, and it worked wonderfully.

Going to try to beat my personal 24hr record from last years event.

Cognoscenti Rally in June, Ely Nevada

July, I'm running a rally here in CO, will post up details on that soon. Just making the final lodging/banquet plans for the event.

August, the Iron Butt National will be back here in Denver. Only 6 miles away.

After that, who knows

Since my youngest son just finished his move to Ft. Myers, FL, I may reconsider an attempt at a BB1500 this summer to visit him in early May when college lets out.

man, that is exactly my problem as well.

Every trip begins with a commitment to slow down and look at everything.
Every trip ends with something like a non-stop run from Edmonton to Vancouver.

I've done 1K days, just never on purpose or with paperwork.

I should likely do this, and on '14.

I actually found the paperwork to be the most difficult part. It also made me stop more than I needed to to be able to properly document the route.

I can't see how.... The route should be planned and made simple long before you turn the key to the on postion. Someone to sign to start or a gas receipt , gas receipt when you stop for gas and someone to sign at the end or another gas receipt. easy peasy

That route was not a straight line for me. All was done in Ontario. Started in London with gas receipt (that started the clock) Next stop was just outside Toronto (gas receipt) Turn left and head to North Bay (gas receipt) Right turn in North Bay and head to just passed Ottawa (gas receipt). Turn right and head due south until the 401. Right turn and take the 401 right back to London. Gas receipt stopped the clock.

Of course to make it really easy these guys/gals run different Iron Butt rides around. The only one I see so far this year is the 50CC OR 100CCC

It's still early in the planning stages for the MTF 2014 rides. There will be plenty more options, like the Moonshine SS1000 or the Denver IBA ride in.

Not me. Short leash this year with at least one more semester of college. I'll be out your way in September, but it'll be to start the two week dirt bike tour in Rawlins, WY. Everything else for 2014 will be "local" riding.

I bet the last time was when you loaned me your truck when my bike was sitting at a dealer in Grand Rapids waiting for parts.
