Well I finally had a chance to try out my new jacket yesterday. Since I value squeezer's opinion over the rest of you monkeys, (he's old), I decided on the Cortech GX Air. It was right on 70* when I tested it, and with just a long sleeve shirt on underneath and no liners in, I was actually a little cool, which was fantastic. I'll keep carrying the rain gear as I probably won't use the inner liner, I just hate putting a wet jacket on. Also all the jackets with Gore-Tex were out of my price range. Time will tell whether it holds up like my former JR which has almost 100K miles on it. Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
