Mine came today as well. Now I just have to get that pesky passport renewed so I can get into Canada to use it.
-
Even for US citizens?
-
MI and i believe Minnesota have enhanced drivers licenses that allow you to cross the border if you are a US citizen. I'm still carrying a UK passport so I cannot get an enhanced drivers license. Have been contemplating citizenship or at least dual citizenship but still need to renew my passport to apply for that.
-
I have a CT enhanced license but have been told I can't use it to return from Canada. I was told it only works when returning to the US state which it was issued. Since CT doesn't touch Canada I guess I'll never use it!

Entering Canada
If you are a U.S. citizen, ensure you carry proof of citizenship such as a passport, birth certificate, a certificate of citizenship or naturalization, or a Certificate of Indian Status along with photo identification.

Getting back into the US: When returning to the United States by air, all American citizens must present a valid U.S. passport, available through the State Department (travel.state.gov). Americans returning from Canada by land or sea may present a passport card, NEXUS card or an enhanced drivers license to re-enter the country. Though a birth certificate is accepted as proof of citizenship when entering Canada, it is not considered an acceptable form of citizenship for adults returning from Canada.

.
Sorry double post. Nothing to see, move along. ;)

Damn facts getting in the way of a good anecdote.

That's great but the guy standing at the border in the uniform doesn't know it!
And nowhere on my license does it say enhanced, just a little star in the corner

Instead of printing these passes and mailing them out, wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to just have the attendant at the entry gate just wave to you as you enter the park?

The free pass is not really free. They get your name, address, email...

Not if you sign up with so bogus info.
