Can we please go like 4-5 days without rain please? My waterproof boots and gloves are starting to look like prunes! Have we gone like a week without rain yet this year? I mean, I'm okay with riding in the rain, but if I wanted to do that everyday I would have moved to the Pacific Northwet or something.... >:(
Still...it beats snow. ;)

Whatever...as long as the rain leaves for a bit.

Send it our way. If we had the same rain we've had for the past week, it'd still take us 2 or 3 years to recover from the 6 year drought.
-
I had nothing to do with it.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Rained coming into Wichita this afternoon. Felt nice.

my second rice crop is coming in nicely . . . . .
say hooray for PR3s!

No rice pattys here but my lawn is looking like the north woods of Wisconsin.

I just dug up a broken pipe in my backyard running from the gutter, underground to the back of my yard. It had somehow pooped through to the grass (not buried) and cracked, causing a tripping hazard for kids. With the new flexible pipe (perforated with a bubbler at the end for serious downfalls), the grass is not so pretty, lots of dirt over the grass and spots that need to fill in. Rain is welcome this week.

I don't think we have gone more than 5 days in a row without some form or precipitation falling from the sky since the beginning of the year. This calls for drastic measures, so, I am fitting Anakee3's to the GS (they are supposedly good in the rain). Now that I have good rain tires, it should ensure a draught shortly.
-
Sunny and 70 here. Maybe I'll was the bike.

It's gone... for a few days.

Got new tires! It's clouding up, it was sunny....

We should be good for a while. The rain stick is parked while I heal and collect parts for the repair.
Unless it passed the torch. Check your start buttons for strange looking Tiki writing...

Well we're on our second line of severe storms. The first line moved through at 6:30. This line is dumping a lot more rain.

Yup got it about 2am. Lost power for a while. Monday it did not rain. That was one in a row. :twofinger: mother nature. If I wanted rain everyday I would move to the PNW.

Hey Max, Hows the rain today?

He must have sent it this way.

So I went west for better weather. Not the pacific, but Michigan. The weather here on the west side of the state has been grand. Will be here for another week, so here's hoping.
Oh, and roads are better too.

Are you the Michigan version of R Doug?? You left and the sun came out. I've been out in the yard the past two days catching up on the cutting and trimming. We really should have rented a baler for the grass.

I was starting to think so, but since I have been on west side, it's been great. Maybe I just need to move to the west coast permanent-like.

I was in Michigan today (Buchanan) and no rain ether.
Max must of been far enough north to affect the weather.

Thunder and heavy rain woke me at 4AM. Scratch riding the bike to work again today. At least I got the grass cut and yard work mostly done over the weekend.
-
More rain expected here today. Maybe 3+ inches from this round...

Wow that storm moved fast. It came through here at 1:00am.

Yup. Heavy rains 11pm, all done by 1am. Beautiful blues skies and 80's are the rule for the day.

Tornado just north is my house by about a mile or so. It but a local RV dealer and destroyed a lot of inventory. We were fine.

Seen that on the news, what RV place? General? Lots of lighting and thunder in the Kalamazoo area.

I stopped at the RV dealer on the way to the bbq. You were right in the path of that Clay had it touched down a little sooner. Glad to see it missed ya!
-
Turns out I WAS right in the path. It came right overhead but didn't touch down yet by my house. My house is right in line with all the damage- it was just further east of me.
A friend of mine is a pastor at a church in the neighborhood that got hit. He called me about 7 and asked if I could help clear the driveway of one of his members. 7:30 we were cutting trees, and have a ways more to go tomorrow to clear the driveway. I shot video on the way in- here it is:

Clay, Sunday riding with some of the F.U.C.K.E.R.S. in S/W Wisconsin I think we were around Clyde Wi and it looked like a tornado went through that area. Trees down all over the place. Patches of pines that looked like someone came through with a chain saw and leveled every thing. Some barns looked like they exploded. Only the frame was left. Also saw an overturned semi in a farm.

Hell of a storm last night too.
Supposed to go racing at Palos in a few weeks, but I'm thinking the race might just be scrapped for conditions if they don't get a chance to dry out.
-
North side didn't get hit as hard as you guys, but we got about 3/4 inch of rain in an hour .. . .. .
-
How much rain did we get? I slept through it.

This is good - I finally seeded the dirt spots that resulted from my yard digging (see post above) and this should help the seed sprout and take root immensely. (I live a couple towns away from Ed).

Doug please ride your motorcycle. I need rain for my lawn. I had to water the back yard today.
-
I'm looking at dirt bikes today. Maybe that will help?

I heard about that and yet we get nothing again. The lake is down almost two feet. I don't know how I am going to get my boat in the water. ;)

Aren't you downstream? Should be good to go in a day or two.

Nah... it won't be here until Saturday morning. The river is around six feet now and it will rise to eleven feet on Saturday. There are parts of the river where you can walk almost all the way across without getting your shorts wet. They work daily on keeping the channel dredged, otherwise there wouldn't be any traffic on the river.

Never mind. I attempted to upload a video of it raining here. Tapatalk apparently uses Vimeo for embedding. The link doesn't work and I don't really give a shit enough to find out why.
