As a fellow Illinoisan, I enjoy seeing pix of those plates, table, and general kitchen & neighborhood area. All of it reasonably well matches where I grew up (perhaps 80 miles west of there).

Mom and Dad still use those exact Corelle plates. Always a good reminder of home with a good childhood.

Mine: Blueberry waffles, sausage, and eggs.  One over easy, one sunny side up.
