Breaking Bad

Wow.  I have been watching the series.  Started a couple weeks ago, I'm on episode 12 of season 5 right now- almost done.

What a great show.  The evolution of Walter White is incredible.  Wow.

Isn't it? Cinematography, musical scoring, lighting, all top notch. A wonderful multi-character study. I miss it.

I got Jadzia about two episodes in and she gave up. Kept predicting the chemistry before it happened. Might try again on my own.

Great show.  Had to power watch the whole thing over a couple of weekends, because it was addicting, and it's crappy winter and I can't ride.

After reading all the positive words about that show, I watched it all. In the end, the only sympathetic character I found was Jesse. Walt's kid too.

Agreed.  Like I said- the character transformations are incredible.  For me the greatest stories told are those in which your feelings for a main character make a complete 180- "King Kong" is probably one of the greatest examples of that, as is Star Wars (in which is happens twice).  It happens a couple ways in "Breaking Bad" as well.

Cranston is on NPR's Fresh Aire right now.  Interesting cat.

Cranston deserves some amount of accolades. The differences between the subtleties and layers of Walter White vs. the slappy sitcom portrayal of Malcolm's dad in Malcolm in the Middle are amazing.
