2002 ZZR1200

Miss my 2002 ZZR1200; I hit the highest top speed of any bike I have ever owned on that bike.  Never forget I was racing a Bandit 1200 off the line, neck and neck until about 100 and then the ZZR just took off and left it getting smaller and smaller in the mirrors.

Where in Michigan are you located that there is that much snow still?

Sorry...not a current pic.  It was dark when I got home.  That pic is a month old...purchase date.  I'm in Zeeland, between Holland and Grand Rapids.  I still have snow, but not a ton.

Beautiful bike!  :bigok:

But from what I've read, the hard luggage options on the newer Ninja 650's are extremely limited because of the lack of mounting points. Some sort of a one-off bracket and the new generation of "formed" luggage (throwovers like soft bags, but made to hold their shape, unlike soft bags) might be your only option.

2012 Ninja 650, very comfortable mountain twisty bike! Added Two brothers racing exhaust & mapping systems. OEM rear cowling, fender eliminator with LED turn signals, SpeedMetal bar end mirrors. TechSpec Snakeskins on tank & rear cowling. 4.2 gallon tank and goes over 150 miles before I need to start looking for gas.

This is my first post on this forum, and here's my Little Red Ninja.  She's a 2007 and has three Iron Butt certificates (she did all the work, I was just along for the ride).  The pic is on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the quote was modified from a unicorn poster my niece has (she giggled when she saw this).  Apparently I need to work on sizing my pics, it shows larger when clicked on.

Welcome, Baxter. Nice set up on your Ninja.

Thanks.   The Old Girl has the usual touring mods: chain oiler,  heated grips,  taller windscreen in particular.   I've found adventure style drybags to be very versatile luggage.  While I occasionally think that ABS may be a good improvement for a new bike, and maybe even locking hardbags,  this might be my Goldilocks bike.
