It definitely IS Spring
« on: March 07, 2014, 01:35:37 PM »
In A&E today (ER to Mericuns) we had our first idiot motorcyclist of the year. Wearing shorts and sandals, his first ride of the year-and he came off. Was it his fault or some other fool? Who gives a toss.

My how he wailed, with his broken leg and debrided skin! Twat.

Also, I saw my first ice cream van of the year, playing jingles.

SPRING!!!

Still too cold and too much snow on the ground to feel like spring here. I have no desire to perform an encore of this poor persons day when it does feel like spring. Hope he heals with no permanent damage and learns a lesson about wearing some gear.

ICE CREAM JINGLES!
We had two bags of grass, 75 pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

I just sold a pair of tires to a fellow in Wisconsin.  I'm taking that as a sign of spring!

Subtract 5-10 degrees and we're right there. Snow tonight though.

Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 30s. I took the day off so I can ride for the first time since mid January.

We just had the best weekend in months in VA and I spent it in NC enjoying my Grandson and their beautiful weather.  But caging it.  :-(

Yesterday was only the second time I've been able to ride my new to me cycle. 70 degrees and sunny. The Friday before we got about 8" of snow and one of the worst ice storms ever. 1 fatality on the highway home. Today 63 degrees F at work. Tomorrow, more snow. It's spring...

Judging by the number of low cut T-shirts and shorty shorts on some of the wimens at the Beer Festival on Sunday, spring has sproing'd.   8)
