I used to go to American parties when I lived in South America.  And yes, it is all about the red cups.

Well. It's nice to know that our reputation is in tact on an international level.

I blame the Solo Cup company.  They're the ones pushing red plastic cups...

That and beer pong.

I'm guessing there's about as much thought of America at these parties as we think of Mexico at Cinco de Mayo parties.

Note to these guys:  1)  we don't wear pants like the Netherlands' curling team and 2) we don't watch Disney movies during our parties.

Fail.

'Merica!  F Yeah!

We went to the moon and left a car up there with the keys in it!  Why?  Because we're the only ones going back!

You guys are over-sensitive.  I think it's cute.  They're not making fun of us.

Lots of people all over the world want to experince life in the USA.  Because most of the Americans they meet are tourists, they think we're all rich, live in big houses and drive expensive SUVs. Their impression of America is based on what they see on TV and FB; picture a frat house in Beverly Hills.  And what can be wrong about wacky t-shirts, hamburgers and beer.  Almost sounds like an ST meet.

Agree.

Besides we DO use Solo cups at parties, often red ones.

(It's easier to clean up that way.)

It's not about Mericuns but about America. It's just like loving France but hating the French.

I really didn't see the difference between the "American Parties" that are hosted in other countries and the college parties hosted here.  I think they did a fantastic job at copying it!
