Haiku Explanation Required
« on: March 03, 2014, 01:23:33 PM »
Okay STO'rs, after a couple years of STN inactivity, I get an email about a new PM for the fantasy MotoGP racing (signed up - thank you!) explaining it is going to be on the other site.  So could you please, in haiku format, explain why we have an other site?  Is this this the one where the cool kids hang out?  Should I shun the STN site?  Is it possible to be friends with both sites or must I pick sides?

Thank you in advance and glad to be back....err....here!

A lot of folks go to both sites, so need to choose.   I don't really post over there, since most stuff gets answered over here by the same people.  No need to duplicate my effort.

My thoughts, in a short Haiku as follows:

STN has been acquired by the Man

STO was formed by those who wear tin hats

Visit both because together they are one

Our saloon of choice
Purchased. Incorporated.
We now drink elsewhere

Actually, I still hang out there too. But when I started setting up the MotoGP game again, I wanted it to be in a place where I could ask someone we know if it's okay instead of asking a company where we don't know anybody. Neal was always laissez faire about such stuff so it was no worries. The new owners might be too, or they might get grumpy about us using a different commercial site that competes with them for click through ad bucks. Doing it here, with FJR1300's permission, there are no worries again.

Scratch's answer is still better.

Any Haiku attemps by me will come out to be more Dr. Seuss.

The difference here is we don't speak in hyku.
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

A couple good haikus, failures to follow the format request, limericks, and a hardy fuck you...

Yup, this seems just like STN did a couple years ago - nice!

Thanks for the explanations.
