I have no words... This is wrong on so many levels. No ADV tires. Nice lights. Is that your front fender? Ammo cans are cool though...

Well, an E-Bay treasure anyway.

YOU ARE LOOKING AT A 1985 KAWASAKI GPZ 750 TURBO THAT I HAVE OWNED SINCE NEW. THIS BIKE LIVED ALL OF ITS LIFE IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT. THE BIKE HAS NEVER HAD FUEL IN ITS TANK, NEVER BEEN STARTED OR HAS HAD ANY ELECTROLYTE PUT INTO THE ORIGINAL BATTERY. MOTORCYCLE WAS PICKLED WHEN NEW AND MAINTAINED THAT WAY THROUGH OUT ITS LIFE. I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY ARE STILL OUT THERE IN THIS CONDITION, I'M THINKING VERY FEW IF ANY. BIKE IS STILL ON MSO, NEVER REGISTERED. I HAVE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL AND BROCHURE. THIS IS A CHANCE TO OWN A BRAND NEW PIECE OF MOTORCYCLE HISTORY. I HAVE MORE PHOTOS IF NEEDED. TIRES ARE STARTING TO SHOW THEIR AGE WITH A LITTLE CRACKING ON THE SIDES, REMEMBER THEY ARE 33 YEARS OLD. PAINT IS FLAWLESS AS IS THE REST OF THE BIKE. PUT IT IN YOUR OFFICE OR MUSEUM , IT IS CURRENTLY IN ONE OF MY LIVING ROOMS.

It's definitely rare.  Rare though <> desirable.

I'd keep my hundred large.

$100K?

Ya, it was the fastest bike of the turbo era but it steered like a barge and it turned turbochargers into crinkly if oil levels and changes weren't followed religiously.

To be fair, YES, it is a rarity, and there is history there. It's definitely a museum piece as sits because no one would buy it and ride to ride in this day and age. But his price is ludicrous.

Truly , who among us never wanted the latest greatest fastest sexiest machine, but would rather have TWO, one to store untouched under glass and one to ride/drive the wheels off? I can get behind that in a heartbeat. I'm betting this guy (or whoever he got it from) planned for exactly that. Given the means, Yes, I would have purchased a 1st Gen Viper, and tucked one in a garage for 30 years down the road. Yes, I'd LOVE to squirrel away a zero mile ZX-11 or CBX.

But things like that don't STAY zero miles unless they are accompanied by a beat up and USED TO DEATH machine. Even uber-rich folks still want to use their toys, even if some of us deem them under-used. But ZERO mileage means it was never intended for use. Either that or it was found still in crate, and assembled just for sale. I can't see any other way that it would have survived untouched.

I guarantee there has been gas in that tank and the engine has been run - by Honda before shipping the damn thing to this fool dealer.  Every motor vehicle ever produced has been fully tested by the manufacturer for quality assurance.

Anyone looking for a good deal on a low mileage Pacific Coast?

14K miles. Water cooled shaft drive. Whisper quiet with enough power to ride two easily. Has integral locking trunk with space for a bushel of crabs and a case of beer. Has clock, voltmeter, manual cruise, lighter/charger and high aftermarket windscreen. Has LED flicker brake lights. I removed back rest which can be re-installed. New Dunlop tires (less than 500 miles). I took it for a ride today and the battery spun the starter like new after four months with no tender. Runs good and looks good. All plastic is there with some minor scuffs and blemishes. Seats are like new. Helmet and men's jacket (2x) worn less than half a dozen times included. Inspection is good through June. I bought about two years ago and have $4K in it. If you find this bike in this condition for much less than I'm asking it will be a rare find.

I agree very tempting, but $3k is a collector price. If i ran across one is decent shape for less, I would have to try it.

Absolutely joyous and enjoyable riding machine. Silly fun while not being a tempting whore on the right grip. You know its limits and qualities at every moment. Thoroughly enjoyable machine.

That bike, or one exactly like it for the same price, has been on CL for a very long time.  It gets put on different cities' CL but it appears to be the same bike.  I think it was actually more expensive before.  3K IS the reduced price.

I actually think it's a good deal for a very low mileage PC. I mean you can get pretty much 100k trouble free miles out of it.

Have you ever seen Doc Wong ride one? With a passenger?   :burnout:

I remember seeing a PC in guacamole green. It reminded me of a commode. Use a  flush lever as a saddlebags latch release and it wouldn't look out of place.

For touring, It's a great bike. The only problem now,is that the plastics are old and very hard to find decent replacements, if needed. Three grand is a fair asking price for the low miles, but whoever pays asking price?

I will never, ever, as long as I love, understand Delawarians' obsession with these stupid low-digit plates. I know a guy who paid $7500 for a three digit plate for his couple-generation-old Mustang GT. I don't get it. The plate was worth, literally, twice as much as his car.
