Once again the politicians don't get it, a ban based on cosmetics only changes the way it looks.

"The new gun law bans all kinds of semi-automatic rifles that have been labeled with the “assault” term even though these are very common rifles and are no more powerful than the average hunting rifle."

Actually in the scope of things, A LOT less powerful than a common hunting rifle.

The Ar spur is a better option, IMO.

One well zero'd in 30 cal bolt action and 100 rounds of ammo will get you all the AR's and ammoo you'll ever need should the Preverbial "shit hit the fan." I wouldnt spend my money on THAT but I just bought another 110FP and a Leupold to go on top of it.

Just because you "can" doesnt always mean you should.

Conversely, just because you don't need to doesn't always mean you shouldn't.

Actually thinking about selling one of my ARs and building a nice bolt action. Probably a 308 since I would never shoot past 500 yards. A Remington 700 on one of these chassis and a decent Leupold scope would be fun.
