Yup!  I <3 my Wee.  There's just somthin' about that engine when it's crankin' 7500-9000 rpm that's infatuating  :inlove:

Found some smooth pavement - couple of roads I've never been on before - with some of may favorite PA twisties.

This was my turn-around spot - we have  dinner plans - I'm not one to miss a meal; especially a good meal.

Sure did.  I had to kill about 250 miles worth of fuel so I can pull the tank tomorrow.  So I went hunting lighthouses at Nags Head.

Nice pics. Did a ride last weekend with the wife for a couple hours. Nice weather and beautiful leaves. Went up around Catoctin Mountain. Not so many pics but had the gopro going:

I picked it up yesterday at my local dealer.

It's a well sorted out 2013 GS. I am now the second owner. Next order of business is to shred the remaining rubber off the street based Michelins so I can get a good set of dual sport tires on it.

Hey Doug,

Welcome back!  How's the riding down your way this time of year?  I may be able to escape Pennsylvania for a week or so and head south.  This is a bit late in the season for me so I'm thinking through possible destinations (or whether to go or not).  I need to be talked into it!

Thanks.

Well, there was snow in SC this weekend and the high yesterday near Pinehurst was 50 with 30 MPH winds.

Actually, it's typically very nice this time of year.  This past weekend's weather was abnormal.

Probably will be one of the last days I ride the Sprint to work. Have a handshake deal to sell, just need to work out logistics on transfer. Getting a little cold to ride the Tuono to work.

I have a not so secret 'secret account" used as a bike fund. When I get enough saved to add to the proceeds from a sale and be able to upgrade, bike gets posted for sale. Actually kept the Sprint an extra year, and used the money saved for track days this time around.

System works for me, and I don't use chunks of family cash when buying/registering new bikes. Very limited sources for that 'secret account.'

I had the pleasure of riding pillion on a turbo XX this evening.  We backed it down once we hit 115mph - on the way to Walmart.  Weeee!

Nothing like the high-pitched whir of a finely tuned turbo.

I hope to ride today, but it depends on the Boss. I do have to "winterize" her bike soonest. sooo, that means I have to ride it to make sure everything is working before storing.  muhahahahahaha

which means, maybe I can sneak away on the Hulk for a bit too. and No, I'm NOT winterizing the Hulk. screw that. My bike is always ready to go. I could have missed too many riding days over the years. 70 degrees in Jan?  Uh... YEAH!  I'm going riding!

63° out so I may have gotten lost on the way home.   :naughty:

Having said that, the battery won't go over 12.3 volts.  I suppose I should order a new one before needing to use the heated gear.
