BSG (Galactica II)
« on: February 01, 2014, 11:14:48 AM »
I've been rewatching Battlestar Galactica (2) on Netflix.  Still some of the best Sci-Fi ever to air on Cable.

What great programming.  The writers really had a ball fleshing out the story-line on this one.

Damn.  Was that really a good idea?

And then season 4 happened.

No respect for the original series which provided one of the best lines ever in any sci-fi series? Starbuck and the Cylon marooned on a planet. Enemies then allies. Starbuck questioning the Cylon as to how it ended up stranded on said planet:

Lt. Starbuck: So, uh, what happened during the landing?

Cylon Warrior: The situation did not compute.

Lt. Starbuck: So you didn't know what to do. What happened next? Someone whip out the manual?

Cylon Warrior: Yes. The manual did not help.

Lt. Starbuck: What did you do when it came time for a little, uh, personal initiative?

Cylon Warrior: We were taking a vote when the ground came up and hit us.

But the series reboot is pretty good stuff.

S4 was fine. Don't be a twat.

Loved the whole series. Ended in little rushed but still enjoyed the whole thing.

I enjoy seeing a lot of the characters spread out in many other series.

Susan had never seen it before. We watched the whole thing on Netflix last year. She was hooked. Then we did Caprica & Farscape (great show by the way, didn't last near long enough). Now we're going thru Babylon 5.

What's the nerdest podcast? (I guess I could go look it up, but I'm tired and about to go to bed). If someone was to play "me" in a movie, I'd want it to be her  :inlove:

She was in The Bionic Woman (Canada). Other than that I haven't seen her since BSG.

Riddick  -  rule the night,  she was the best part of the movie.  :inlove:

And you have got to love her guest spots on big bang theory.

The wife and I got hooked on BSG2 a couple years ago. We watched the entire series in a couple months through Netflix. Absolutely loved it.

In process of watching it all the way through (yay! for Amazon Prime) for the 3rd time, but 1st time my son has watched it.  We previously watched Firefly together. Nerd apples don't succumb to gravity at great distance from the Ent.

I wasn't sure about a female Starbuck at first, but she and the show, rocked! She was awesome in Longmire too. Still waiting for the next sci fi show with this level of writing and acting.
