2003 Aprilia Tuono $3550 (North Carolina)
« on: November 17, 2020, 08:46:52 PM »
Just bought an 2004 Factory Racing, so my much loved '03 Magnet Gray Tuono is up for sale. I've put a fair amount of time and $ into making this one look and perform it's best.
This pic is from last summer, I'll take some new ones shortly.

I put new bodywork on it a few years ago (OEM new from AF-1), new headlamp, tail light covers, etc as well as:
Carbon hugger, chain guard, and instrument panel top.
In the last two weeks added Carbon Coil covers.
Sargent Seat/ with quick release pins
Gen 2 mirrors
All keylocks (Igntion, tank, seat release) were replaced after I broke a key
It wears gold Gen 2 wheels with new (less than 200 mile) Pierrilli Angel ST tires
Gianelli 1 into 2 slipons with carbon heat shield.
Tank has expanded a bit, but other wise has no major imperfections save a few decal bubbles.

Forks and shock were sprung and valved for a 220# rider at MRP Motorsports in Glen Burnie, MD. I probably have the receipts somewhere.
Intake de-restriction
Gabro F255 chip.
Oberon clutch Slave Cylinder
15/44 gearing
Rotors were replaced with some OEM used not so long ago.
Valve checks, TB balance done probably 5K ago.

I have to sort through my spares, but I know I have a complete upper and headlamp (track use, it's not broken at all but the paint is badly oxidized and the headlamp is poor) fenders, covers and other assorted stuff.

It has just over 100K km's on it. It does indeed start, run and work like it should. I did purchase a spare motor for a big bore project that I never went for. That can be included as well in this transaction.

I'd hate to add up all the cash I've spent making this as best as I could, because in the end it's probably almost triple my asking price over the 9 years I've owned it.

Riding a Tuono is some of the most fun you can have.  Full RSV-Mille sportbike (Not detuned at all) with a supermoto handlebar and upright seating. It still surprises me every time I ride it.

I'm not here to buy it, but I have looked and lusted several times so far...
