Seems like a big pee bag would be an uncomfortable sorta warm while you sleep.
Glad you're on the mend.

Yeah- it sits in the bucket on the floor.  The big bag has a longer hose.  It's also strapped to my thigh, but if you move too much you know it quickly.

Built for speed or pleasure?

Catheter comes out tomorrow at 4

Will they do a Urine Voiding Trial?  That will be fun.

No idea.  When the drain was in post-surgery they were checking for urine in the drain, which was negative, so they sewed a good seal.

I'm just hoping it's out and I can start to resume life.

After they take it out, the 1st time that you pee is kind of a big deal.  Don’t be surprised if there is some blood in your urine though, it’s to be expected.  But it is a sign that things are getting back to normal.

Glad to hear you're on the mend....+1 on the returned mobility...  As noted prior, I always tried to grab the edge of a door while standing if I felt a sneeze or cough coming on..the 'other' thing is poor willy...  been since August 2017 with the assistance of an injection since the last time he 'came to attention'..... I decided then and there, ain't going the injection route either 'cause I figured if I'm still able to ride the bike, that'd be good enough to be able to ride at least one thing....😲

Yes, that part is going to be interesting to see how it works out.  No "stirrings" yet, but they say at least a month before anything starts to happen.

Just so you know, it isn't all bad.  Today's experiment was fishing, and it went well.  The fishing wasn't that great- tried on the big lake (Lake Michigan) for Lake Trout, nothing.  Went through the channel into Lake Macatawa and nailed a couple of Freshwater Drum:

The more active I am, the more leakage.  Saturday I did WAY too much, and I was kind of a mess.  That led to a low-key day yesterday, despite a birthday party for my daughter (17).  Now it's time to rest some more.  I need to balance activity with rest/focus on PT, which actually is Kegel practice.

Took the bike for a short ride today (5 miles to a friends place and back).  Not ready for mileage yet.  ABout halfway I was sliding to side saddle a bit.  The ride home was better, but she's gonna be parked for a bit yet.

Healing continues well- I worked on the farm 3 half-days this week.  It was good.  Friday I fished.

Mornings are great- NO leakage overnight, VERY minimal in the morning.  However if I hit the bottle late there's lots of leakage.

No stirrings yet.

6 week appointment Wednesday.  My PSA is at ZERO, which was a huge answer ti prayer/hopes.  Hopefully it stays there- looks like I'll be on a 4 month PSA test cycle.  No stirrings yet, but that's the next target.  Medication and a "mechanical device" to increase blood flow.  The doc seemed to think things would be progressing better now that my healing is going so well.

Leakage isn't a factor other than a drop or two here and there in the evenings, and when I told my doc I was playing softball with no issues he was amazed at the progress, so that's good.  All restrictions are now off.

Took the bike for a short ride today (5 miles to a friends place and back).  Not ready for mileage yet.  ABout halfway I was sliding to side saddle a bit.  The ride home was better, but she's gonna be parked for a bit yet.

No stirrings yet.

And equally important:  I'm back in the saddle baby!  I've put on about 70 miles this week, no problems.  We have a shorter trip planned to the UP at the end of August, and I am geeked.

Honestly I couldn't be happier with the progress at this point.  This will probably be my last post on this topic with an update unless somting

Last check uop about 3 weeks ago:  PSA still at zero.  The doc is happy, as are we.  The longer we go, the longer we should go.

This next part may be too much for some, but I'm a science guy and if what I post helps someone else, or simply answers some questions, I'm good with it.

Update on the erectile dysfunction::
For the last 3 months I've been trying a vacuum pump and viagra.  Every other morning I was taking 3, take 5 on a day we are going to go for it.

The vacuum pump didn't work well.  I get the whole idea, but you are forcing blood in there and trying to hold it in.  All the viagra did was make my face flushed.  You get into the action, and the blood gets forced out.

SO at the last checkup we discussed something new.  A guy at church came up to me one Sunday after church and asked about the ED.  He told me he had the same thing, and the same problems.  He never got it back, so he started giving himself and injection of phentolamine.  He said it wasn't a big deal, the needle was super small.

So that was the conversation I had with the doc.  He said usually guys tend to wait longer- really only because they aren't ready for that.  I really like nailing my wife, and I guess I'm there.  Natural erection could still be a year away.  It takes time for those nerves to regrow.  So we placed a "sample" order.

Yesterday I went to the doc and we talked about the process.  Jaci worked till noon today, so I figured I'd try it this morning and see what happened. You are supposed to start at .40cc and work your way up.  Doc recommended I start at .20 and work up by .10 each time till you get a good erection.  It should last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours.  I didn't want to go through this, get fired up, and not have it work being my first time.  If you do too much it can stay up for hours, and permanently ruin your future erections.  If it goes on for 8 hours, I need to go to the ER.

It sounds like not a big deal, but when you are holding your helmet off to one side to get the angle, and in your other hand you have a freaking NEEDLE, stabbing it in your cock doesn't seem like such a good idea- even though it's a 1cc syringe with a teeny needle.  I probably sat there for 3-5 minutes getting up the courage to go for it.

I did it.  It is a REALLY small needle, and I hardly felt a thing.  You inject, then hold your finger over the site for a minute or so and gently massage the site.  Within a few minutes, blood flow was clearly occurring.

I had a RAGER!

Now it's game on!   :bigok:

... and when your done, you can hunt big game with it!

I had a bladder stone removed ("about the size of an orange") and a TURP procedure done on my prostate in Oct.

Not getting up 3x every night or having to squirt 12 times a day is great. Not pissing blood after even light excersize is life changing.

Anyway, bonors!  I thought I was doing good pre surgery, just normal 60 year old stuff.  Mentioned to my dick doc post surgery and he wrote me a script for Cialis. First, that shit is expensive. Even the Generic brand is $20 a pill! Name brand is $80+ each.  If I was willing to spend that much I'd go find me a 20 year old hooker. No drugs required!  Anyway, the  generic brand stuff works pretty fine, like I'm 25 again - with stimulation.

Don't suffer, get yourself checked!

Yesterday I looked close at the calendar to see when the first chance would workout.  With a high schooler and an 8th grader (now) they tend to go to bed at the same time we do (awkward when her bedroom is right below ours) and Jaci has been working mornings on break so far.  But it's gonna happen for real at some point soon!

Well I am HAPPY to report that Sunday night Jaci and I booked a trip to Cancun and left Tuesday morning.  NO KIDS!  As I type this in the room, we are leaving today.  I'll say things worked REALLY well, every day.

That's a HUGE win!   :bigok:  Not to mention we hadn't ever had a "parents only" vacation other than an overnight- this was badly needed and incredibly awesome, not just for the one above.  I am a blessed man and 2020 has been good to me.

Edited to add:  This will probably be my last post about my sexcapades unless things resume naturally.  As always, if anyone ever wants to chat about ANY step of this whole thing, I'd be glad to.  That's part of my reason for sharing the journey.
