A new browser and about time.

Looks pretty good. But before I download it-who knows what about it?

It's been around a while.  Be aware that you may run into issues with it locking accounts on websites that want to track you but won't allow them too, such as Ebay, Amazon, Facebag, etc.

So-it's a browser that might be a little too secure, then.

Basically, Like most things, the more secure it is the less functionality it usually has.

I've been using Brave on my phone for about eight months, with no issues. I like it, but I'm severely technologically challenged.

Do your research on if it's had 3rd-party audits. New claims on new products? They are often less than accurate.

You can probably accomplish what they're touting by simply blocking 3rd party cookies, and disabling javascript.

This.  I’ve tried it but find it a little aggravating...mostly because sites don’t load as expected, and likely because all the tracking garbage is being blocked.  I run an ad blocker because some sites bog down my browser for all the ads being pushed on the site.

I have no idea...totally lost now. Or flummoxed. Which is a good word.

It's built on Chromium with all the stuff that makes it most useful stripped out in the name of privacy.

It's more security theater. If you think you're actually private / anonymous on the web, I'd love to sell you this bridge I have in Brooklyn.
