Strangely, I had a sore arm the second day after the first shot. About 8 hours after the second I began to feel like I was coming down with something - kind of headachy and low energy - lasted through the next day, but the arm was fine. Pretty minor and didn’t interfere with activities.

Compared to our local positivity rate of 7.5% tested, your <100/100,000 = 0.1% sounds fantastic.   Although the ratios are not directly comparable, I estimate your rate is about 1/7 of our local rate on a per population basis.  That’s pretty d@mn impressive.

In reality, yes, and we both have rampant social spread. The statistics are not comparable because of the way they are compiled.

That still sounds good to me.

I’d like to see our local positivity rate back down below 2% where it was last Spring.  Right now our local health officials say that bringing it down to 5% would be a huge victory.  Too many people here have lockdown fatigue.

Kind of leads you to believe that the mask and social distance thing is just not working.

Maybe if we were 12' apart and wore 3 masks?  Yeah thats the ticket.

You sure they are burned out or are they finally wising up?

This without a doubt, all you have to do is look at what people are doing, and a lot are not following guidelines in this country. Or playing the game, wear the mask to get in the door then take it off till you checkout.

I have found that kids seem to be A-OK with masks and are much better about them than adults. I often find that I have to remind my kids they can take them off when I pick them up from school. They forget they’re wearing them.

So, these assholes are worse than children.

More like "not being used" to the extent necessary. So many photos and videos I see from the States have crowds of naked faces. Not exactly helping now, is it?

Exactly.  Of all the people I personally know who caught COVID, the only one who was always prudent is a COVID ward nurse.  The rest would mask up at work or school, but frequently had and went to maskless gatherings.  The thing that confuses me is how they would go right back to it as soon as they were deemed to be recovered.

Upon reflection , you are correct, its not acting like a 4 year old , its acting like an irresponsible A-hole adult.I see very young children wearing a mask, no drama quite often. Amazing the standard some of the "adults" want to set. :bash: :csm:

Sign up now: Call For Volunteers For World’s First Coronavirus Human Challenge Study

The United Kingdom is the first country to initiate a Covid-19 human challenge study.  The study will infect healthy people with COVID-19 in order to study the virus.  The initial study will expose carefully selected, healthy adult volunteers to the virus in a safe and controlled environment.  One goal is to discover the least amount of virus needed to cause COVID-19 infection.

I sincerely hope it is nothing or 'just the flu'.

We lost my father in law last week and my across the street neighbor the week before.  It is still a very real risk despite the recent improvement in some of the statistics.

Is that because he drives on the wrong side of the road?
My GPS just told me to turn left, then turn left, then turn left, then turn left.
So if I go too far left do I end up right?

That would be the  " correct " side of the road according to the Brits.

Ugh, good friends Aunt and her husband got the vaccine 2 weeks ago.

Dead now, seems to be from complications from vaccine.  She went in to the emergency room 3 days after took him a week to fail.
They have indicated that I could be orange.
