I was listening to Tool on Alexa last night and Sober came on. It struck me how similar in intent it was to Johnny Cash's Hurt.

Probably just the rum talking..

What kind of rum?

What kind of rum?

 "Lord Nelson's blood"
Pussers British Navy Rhum. The original Admiralty blend rum from the 1600's.

It's the best dark rum I've ever tried, wonderful stuff..

Yes, they carried Nelsons body back from Trafalgar in a rum cask..

And the rum was all gone by the time they got back to England.  The sailors had secretly tapped it and drunk the "embalming fluid" as it were.

Dig it, Thanks. No downloading these guys, but their whole catalog is on Spotify. Especially interesting is that they spent last year recording/releasing 1 song/week. Tough schedule especially with that many folks in the band!

Not new music, and I haven't been listening to his stuff any more than usual, but I stumbled across this:

https://www.texasmonthly.com/interactive/big-list-willie-nelson-albums-ranked/  All 143 of Willie Nelson's albums ranked for quality.  Judging by the albums of his that I have or have listened to, the rankings are fairly accurate.  I might quibble a bit here or there, but overall this is a stellar effort.

Now, his first record came out in 1961, I believe, so he's had 60 years to make music.  Still, that's more than two albums a year, year after year, decade after decade.

I took time to check out what Roon and Tidal says are "artists I may like."   I will have to say, the the software is pretty good.

Felix Hell - Organ Sensation (who doesn't like some big pipe organ sounds?)

Sister Hazel - Somewhere More Familiar (Jam band)

The Bubos Band  - Long in the Tooth (I love this instrumental band!)

Van Morrison - Three Chords & The Truth

Martin Sexton - Black Sheep (very good male vocalist)

Vintage Trouble - 1 Hopeful Rd.  (toe tapping fun!)

Burlap to Cashmere - Anybody Out There? (jam band fun)

Jesse Roper - Red Bird (Blues/Rock)

Alana Davis - Blame It On Me (strong female vocals)

Anna Nalick - Wreck of the Day (great female vocalist)

Only motorcycle riders know why a dog sticks its head out of a car window.
