Verizon Wireless- for making me jump through hoops to prove the fraudulent equipment charges someone placed on my account weren't mine.

Their service is pretty good, just going back and forth with them over police reports and billing when my billing statement clearly shows one of their employees added two lines to my account from a kiosk at a local mall, and their reluctance to remove them and the charges. I've sent copies of the bill, police report and my drivers license for photo ID and they're still quibbling about it, fucking jerk-offs

Just a side note of ATTs customer service, they always do what ever they can do make me happy compared to Verizon making sure they never conceded a speck. Left them 7 years ago.

I hate entitled assholes with kids.  They won't shut up about their spawn.  There is a childfree thread on another forum and the assholes with kids keep on posting about their kids in the thread.  Mod won't ban them because he has kids. If I've decided I don't want kids, that means I DO NOT want to read about how your little spawn did something bad again and you wish he wasn't around.  Don't post in the childfree thread until that thing has been adopted and you are childfree.  Childfree people don't want to hear you bitch about your kids.  >:(

I had almost 180* results with AT&T and Verizon. Maybe it's regional.

I could post things in a child-free thread that would certainly support peoples' decision to be child-free!

For all you people with kids, this is what it looks like when you roast cabbage with garlic and red palm oil. Roasting adds an extra dimension to the flavor.  And the leather coaster in the background? I made it. It's called a hobby.

Not a fan of square plates. Square coasters however are tres cool. My Mom had/has those same hexagonal glasses.

Maybe I will take some coasters with me to give away at the next meet.  I have to decide if I'm going to the WV one that's in a couple weeks, aka should I skip buying glasses and visiting the doctor to spend money on fun things instead. Grad student problems. :(

That's not all I ate, but you don't need to see the hotdog that went with it because I was feeling lazy and out of braunschweiger.  :(

I can make vegetarians visibly uncomfortable.  I have to be careful when packing my lunch if I know I will be eating with sensitive individuals, because the vegetarians find the sight of someone eating slices of braunschweiger straight (no bread or crackers, just creamy deliciousness) to be unsettling.  Same with buying a tub of pulled pork and sticking a fork in it. Canned tuna doesn't seem to bother as many people, though.

Y'all haven't been paying attention. Lauren is definitely NOT a vegetarian.

Oh I know- and I wasn't commenting about Lauren's diet- just about the picture of the rabbit food.  :bigok:

The rabbit food helps you appreciate the meat more.

RANT: Carb cravings that end up making me eat horrible things while trying to go meat and veggies with a little fruit paleo.  :-[

But would you post those same things in a thread that was supposed to be for childfree people?

I could post things in a child-free thread that would certainly support peoples' decision to be child-free!

(this post brought to you by another night of terrible sleep.  At this point I firmly believe all child-free people lounge around all day in silk pajamas, sipping wine, having stimulating conversation, and admiring their fragile knick-knacks)

That's certainly what I would do.  Instead I'm interpreting the Rorschach stains on my living room carpet.  They were both so fucking cute 14 years ago.

People who waste perfectly good, innocent garlic by roasting it with...  cabbage.
What did that poor garlic ever do to you?!?!?

Anti-vaxxers.  I had to seriously bite my tongue to keep from going off on a friend-of-a-friend on Facebook tonight.  Our mutual friend posted a link about the latest measles epidemic with a reminder to vaccinate kids, and the friend-of-a-friend started ranting (in mostly all caps, naturally) about government propaganda and autism and how vaccines poison our children and blah blah.  Holy crap, that nonsense boils my blood instantly.

I put a lot of the blame on the media which tells people that there are two valid sides to any story even when -- as a completely hypothetical example -- one side is scientific, peer-reviewed fact and the other side is horseshit nonsense that has been debunked time and time again and shown to be largely the fiction of one man whose falsified "studies" were created to profit himself directly.

There are two sides of this story.  People who are immunocompromised or have autoimmune diseases should be very careful getting vaccinated.  Unfortunately people fail to realize vaccines are good for most but not everyone.  They only want to see it as everyone or no one should get them and that is wrong.

You're 100% supporting my point.  Because there are legitimate cases in which individuals cannot receive vaccinations, it's extremely important that those who can, do.  Herd immunity for the people with medical conditions won't work if healthy crackpots refuse to vaccinate because they think it causes autism or is part of a government conspiracy.

As an aside, because I found this interesting....I'm sure every immunocompromised person is different, but my husband's doctor encourages him to get each and every vaccine he can.  She says that the vaccines are far safer for him than to risk getting the sickness.  (He has Crohn's Disease and is on some hardcore immunosuppressant medication)

The hardcore immunosupressants make it safer.  For those of us that don't need that level of immunosupression, vaccines are dangerous because adjuvants nonspecifically excite the immune system.  You get more antibodies with less killed virus, but you also get more of an autoimmune reaction.

Also, if he's interested the paleo nurse has crohn's. http://thepaleonurse.com/2012/09/06/my-customized-scd-gaps-and-paleo-diet/  I'm about to try the autoimmune paleo diet from http://www.thepaleomom.com/ (the name of her site infuriates me because she has a PhD in biology and is interested in using research findings to optimize diet for autoimmune disease, but people like paleo and kids so that's what she named the site) because I don't want to have to go on the crazy immunosupressants.
